MEET THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE CENTRE
Rob and Jess enjoy being the volunteer managers of the Seafarers Centre. They love helping Seafarers and working with an awesome group of volunteers. They were involved in the Wellington Seafarers Centre from 2013 to 2015, then once moving back to Christchurch they took on the role of co-managers from 2015 on wards. They are both passionate about seafarers welfare and doing everything we can to assist seafarers from all over the world.
The Lyttelton Seafarers Centre Charitable Trust Board is made up with representatives from the Apostleship of the Sea (Catholic) and The Mission to Seafarers (Anglican). They work together to ensure the Seafarers Centre runs smoothly, has sufficient funds and reaches it's objectives.
The Lyttelton Seafarers Centre Volunteers are a vital part of our Centre. They offer a warm kiwi welcome to all seafarers and a friendly person to talk to at any time. They assist Seafarers with exchanging cash, topping up cellphones, and buying basic supplies.
